Many people these days find it extremely difficult to relax. When stress piles up and the tension becomes chronic, many people turn to drug to make them relax.

Why not try yoga at home. Yoga helps you to beat stress. Try this natural way to relax the body and refresh the mind. A return to natural living and natural thinking is necessary in order to live as healthy human beings. We must learn to beat stress. Today's exercise will help you to relax the body and refresh the mind. It is called Relaxed Pose or Uttanasana ".

Stand in Moutain Pose or "Tadasana". Stand straight, extend your arms downwards with your palms facing your thighs.. Be firm and tall as a mountain.Stand with equal weight on both feet. Now inhale and bend forward from the hips. The back is kept straight as you bend forward in front of you. Now drop the head slowly and hang loose completely. The hands drop towards the floor close to your feet. Relax in this position, keeping the knees straight and also relax your upper body as limp as rag doll. You will feel the gravity gradually pulling you lower. Relax and hang loose in this position for 10 counts and remember to breath normally. You may bounce in all directions from the waists, with limp head and arms. Slowly round your back and come up. Do not come up fast especially those suffer from high blood pressure. There is a rise in blood pressure to your head. You will feel lightness in your head, so wait for a while until this passes. You can repeat this posture a few times daily to beat stress. Finally, relax in corpse pose or "Shavasana".
